Hoa Phat Group sponsors VND2.8 billion ECMO machine to Quang Ngai General Hospital

On August 3, 2022, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company presented an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine to the Quang Ngai General Hospital. This is modern Japanese medical equipment for emergency and treatment activities worth VND2.8 billion.

The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Cao Phuc, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Bui Duc Tho, Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee, and representatives of the Department of Health and Quang Ngai General Hospital.

Doctor Le Van Thieu, Deputy Director in charge of Quang Ngai General Hospital emphasized that the donation of the ECMO machine to the hospital has great significance, contributing to enhancing modern medical equipment and effectively supporting the treatment, improving the capacity of emergency and patient treatment; offers a chance for survival of patients with heart failure and severe respiratory failure.

Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Mr. Bui Duc Tho, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee highly valued the contributions of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company to Quang Ngai Province in general and the provincial General Hospital over the past time. He hoped that the company will continue to support and accompany the work of social security and the people’s health care of the province in the coming time.

In addition to production and business activities, Hoa Phat Group in general and Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company in particular regularly carry out many social security activities, joining hands with the community in a practical way.

Since the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Production Complex was built, Hoa Phat Group has spent more than VND55 billion to carry out social security activities in the area. The budget as well as the social security programs implemented by Hoa Phat Group in Quang Ngai Province are constantly increasing year by year.

In 2020, Hoa Phat Group donated over VND2 billion of medical equipment, supplies, and biological products to Quang Ngai Province. In 2021, the group donated VND20 billion to support the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic in the province.

On June 10, 2022, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company handed over the Binh Dong Primary & Secondary School, Medical Station, and Kindergarten 18/3 in Binh Thuan Commune with a total value of more than VND5 billion.

In the upcoming time, the company will implement the program "Godmother" - supporting orphans with extremely difficult circumstances in the communes of Binh Son district within 5 years. It would also give gifts to poor students overcoming difficulties and those with excellent achievements at primary, secondary, and high school levels; coordinate with leading specialists in organizing free medical examination and distribution, give gifts to lonely elderly people in the district, etc.
