Hoa Phat Group's capitalisation on stock market exceeds US$10 billion

At the end of the trading session on May 31, 2021, Hoa Phat Group’s stock (HPG) hit the ceiling price at VND52,700 a share. With a total of more than 4.4 billion shares (including shares issued to pay dividends), HPG's market capitalization reached over VND235 trillion, equivalent to more than US$10 billion.

The trading session on May 31 was the ex-right date for HPG to receive dividends of 5 per cent in cash and 35 per cent in shares. This was also the first time in history that over 60 million HPG shares were traded in one session, higher than the full-day volume of any previous session.

HPG has also been a stock taking the lead continuously in terms of trading volume and value. The trading value of HPG in the first session of the week reached VND3.2 trillion, accounting for a quarter of the VN30 liquidity and 8.8 per cent of the total on Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE).

With the largest trading volume ever, Hoa Phat Group's capitalization on the stock market is firmly in the Top 4 stocks with the largest capitalization and has a positive impact on the overall market index as well as VN30.
