In the strategy of developing a high-quality steel product chain, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company has researched and successfully produced SWRCH22A carbon steel wire to replace imported goods for large scale screws production.

From the first quarter of the year, Hoa Phat has produced SAE1022 steel wire for screws production in the southern region. The group’s technicans have improved production methods to produce the high quality SWRCH22A carbon steel wire following JIS standard.

According to the assessment of mechanical enterprises in Binh Duong Province, Hoa Phat's SWRCH22A wire has good quality, meeting the standards of manufacturing nails with higher requirements.

The steel wire for screw production have a diameter of Ф 5.5-16, ensuring ASTM standards (the US) and JIS (Japan) with special mechanical properties. The raw material demand for the screws production is on average of 30,000-40,000 tonnes per month. The demand has been increased rapidly.

Hoa Phat has been the only business in Vietnam which could produce a range of special products such as drawn wire steel, steel core for welding rods, prestressed steel and wire steel for screws thank to its modern production lines and smelting steel from iron ore.

In addition, Hoa Phat Group has actively been researching and producing more types of high-quality steels with great added value to serve the diverse customers’ demands such as steel for container, and car tires as well as other steel screws.
