Hoa Phat Group imported 13,000 of Australian cows to Vietnam

In early November 2020, the M.V Al Kuwait ship, the world's largest cow carrier with a capacity of over 36,000 tonnes, 9-storey high, docked in Vietnam. The ship carried about 13,000 Australian cows imported to Hoa Phat’s livestock farms.

The Australian cows were imported by Hoa Phat Trading Company Limited.

The cows were imported from a long-term and pretigious partner supplying Australian cows to Hoa Phat Group since 2017. This is Australia's leading group, that has always committed to providing Hoa Phat Group with cows at the best quality.

By the end of October 2020, the sales of Australian beef of Hoa Phat Trading Co., Ltd (under Hoa Phat Agricultural Development Joint Stock Company) accounted for over 50 per cent of the country’s market share. With this output, Hoa Phat has firmly affirmed its leading position in the market with the No. 1 market share for supplying Australian beef in Vietnam.

Currently, Trading Co., Ltd has the largest scale in the industry with a nationwide farm system. The company’s cows supplied to the market have been increased strongly, meeting a half of the Australian beef demand for domestic market. In the first 9 months of the year, the Australian beef cattle segment has contributed to promoting the group’s agricultural sector to grow strongly, accounting for about 12 per cent of its total revenue.

Hoa Phat Group’s Australian beef farms have a closed process and high technology, complying with the Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System (ESCAS) standards. This helps ensure the export supply chain quality.
