Hoa Phat Group honoured for tax contribution to Hung Yen Province

On November 6^th, 2020, the Department of Taxation of Hung Yen Province honoured largest taxpayers in the locality in 2019 and organising meeting with businesses in 2020. Hoa Phat Group and its seven member companies were honoured at the event for their contribution to the province’s State budget.

The honour ceremony was attended by Mr Dang Ngoc Quynh, standing vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, leaders from Department of Taxation and representatives from 133 outstanding taxpayers out of more than 16,000 businesses in the province.

According to Hung Yen’s Department of Taxation, the total collection in the province reached VND12.2 trillion in 2019, posting 24.2 per cent year-on-year increase. Of which, alone Hoa Phat Group contributed more than VND1.2 trillion to the provincal State budget, accounting for 10 per cent of the province’s total collection.

In the first 10 months of 2020, the provincial Department of Taxation collected VND10 trillion. Of which, 14 member companies of Hoa Phat Group contributed VND818 billion of the total. Facing difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and declining demand, Hoa Phat Group has striven to contribute to the State budget of Hung Yen Province equal to 2019.

With great contributions to the province’s tax sector, Hoa Phat Group and many of its member companies were honoured at the event. Hoa Phat Steel Sheet Co., Ltd. received a certificate of merit from the People's Committee of Hung Yen Province, Pho Noi A Industrial Park Management Company was awarded a certificate of merit by the General Department of Taxation. The provincial Department of Taxation also awarded Certificate of Merit to Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Company, a branch of Hoa Phat Hung Yen Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., Hoa Phat Cold Roll Steel Company, Hoa Phat Hung Yen Steel Company Limited, Hoa Phat Furniture Joint Stock Company, Hoa Phat Refrigeration Company Limited.

On behalf of the leaders of Hung Yen province, Mr. Dang Ngoc Quynh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised Hoa Phat's contributions to the province’s socio-economic development and at the same time evaluated Hoa Phat as one of 30 largest taxpayers in Vietnam in 2019.

In the dialogue with enterprises, Mr. Dang Ngoc Quynh shared and affirmed that the province will actively co-ordinate with the Government to remove difficulties and problems for projects that the group is implementing in Hung Yen such as the expansion project of Pho Noi A Industrial Park, Yen My II Industrial Park, and Bac Pho Noi residental project.

Earlier, at the beginning of October, Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung awarded Certificate of Merit and medal to Hoa Phat Group for its outstanding achievements in tax law compliance and implementation as well as good tax obligation to the State budget.
