Hoa Phat Group honored as exemplary taxpayer by Hung Yen Province

On November 27, 2024, the General Department of Taxation and the Hung Yen Provincial Department of Taxation held a ceremony to recognize and award Certificates of Merit to 152 outstanding collectives and individuals who have consistently met their tax obligations. Among these, five Hoa Phat Group units were recognized including Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Company, Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Company Branch, Hoa Phat Cold Rolled Steel Company, Hoa Phat Steel Sheet Company and Pho Noi Hung Yen Industrial Park Infrastructure Company.

At the event, Mr. Mai Xuan Thanh, General Director of the General Department of Taxation, and Mr. Tran Quoc Van, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, praised the contributions of enterprises to socio-economic development. They highlighted the exemplary compliance of these collectives and individuals with tax policies, their contributions to the state budget, and their role in creating employment opportunities.

As one of the largest enterprises in Hung Yen province, Hoa Phat Group has consistently ranked among the top private enterprise tax contributors in recent years. According to the Hung Yen Provincial Tax Department, in 2023, the private enterprise sector contributed VND15.2 trillion to the State budget - 259.6% of the estimated target and 205.6% higher than the previous year. Hoa Phat Group’s contributions totaled VND1.29 trillion, accounting for 8.4% of the private sector's total revenue.

In the first ten months of 2024, Hung Yen Province’s total State budget revenue reached VND31 trillion, equivalent to 106% of the target, with Hoa Phat Group contributing VND994 billion, representing 3% of the province's total revenue during this period.

On August 15, 2024, CafeF listed PRIVATE 100, which highlights the top 100 private enterprises in Vietnam based on their tax contributions for the 2023 fiscal year. Since its initial public offering in 2007 through September 30, 2024, Hoa Phat has paid over VND84.6 trillion to the State Budget. In 2023 alone, its contribution amounted to VND9 trillion, placing it among the top three private enterprises contributing the largest amounts to the State budget.

Hoa Phat Group is one of Vietnam's leading industrial conglomerates, employing nearly 33,000 workers across 26 provinces and cities. In the first nine months of 2024, the company contributed over VND10 trillion to the State budget—surpassing the total amount paid in the entire year of 2023.

Beyond its business operations, Hoa Phat has actively engaged in numerous charity and social responsibility initiatives over the past nine months, including building 1,500 homes for underprivileged families, donating over 300 water purifiers to schools and medical facilities nationwide and sponsoring the construction of schools and supporting orphans and children with congenital heart conditions.
