According to recent statistics, as of November 2024, approximately 9,800 households in Quang Ngai Province remain without safe, stable housing due to unsafe or dilapidated living conditions. Despite limited resources from state and provincial budgets, Hoa Phat Group’s contribution will help accelerate efforts to achieve the goal of eliminating these unsafe homes by 2025.

As the largest employer in Quang Ngai, Hoa Phat Group has provided stable employment and income to over 17,000 workers, the majority of whom are local residents. The VND30 billion donation underscores the company’s long-standing commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development in the province.

During her remarks, Bui Thi Quynh Van commended the support and contributions of Hoa Phat Group and other organizations toward achieving the province’s housing goals. She emphasized the importance of continued collective efforts to ensure that all residents of Quang Ngai live in safe and secure housing.

This donation is part of Hoa Phat Group’s broader efforts to support vulnerable communities. In response to the Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front's nationwide initiative to eliminate temporary housing by 2025, Hoa Phat has supported the construction of over 1,500 homes for impoverished households across the country including VND30 billion (equivalent to around 1,000 homes) in Quang Ngai Province, VND20 billion in Phu Yen Province. Additional support has been directed toward Tra Vinh and Soc Trang provinces.

Since initiating its investments in Quang Ngai in 2017, Hoa Phat Group has spent over VND135 billion on a variety of social security initiatives. These efforts include donating medical equipment, building and repairing schools and roads, providing monthly support to orphans, supplying water filters to local schools and distributing Tet gifts to underprivileged families.
