Hoa Phat Group among Top 10 strong brands in Vietnam in 2022

On October 12, 2022, Vietnam Economic Magazine (VnEconomy) held a ceremony to announce and honor Vietnam Strong Brands in 2022. Hoa Phat Group was honored in the Top 10 Strongest Brands in Vietnam. This is the 11th time in a row Hoa Phat Group has been honored in this list.

The voting criteria in 2022 focus on strategies, action plans and business results which clearly showing the process of digital transformation; green transformation, saving energy, prioritizing the use of clean energy; develop a model of production, business sharing, humanity and inclusiveness; Protecting the brand and focusing on promoting policies towards employees and the community; and business growth indicators etc.

From the beginning of 2021, Hoa Phat Group started implementing a digital transformation roadmap in depth, transparency, leanness and intelligence with the goal of creating new value in the supply chain and improving EBITDA. Hoa Phat's digital transformation roadmap for the period 2021-2025 includes investment in 30 infrastructure, security and operation items, 9 priority application items and focused data in 3 areas including smart factory, electronic office and human resource management.

Hoa Phat Group's iron and steel production complexes are invested with modern, closed-loop technology solutions. This solution allows to thoroughly recovering all sources of excess heat and gas in the process of coke coal smelting, blast furnace iron smelting, and steel smelting to operate generators. Hoa Phat's electricity output reaches billions of kWh per year, helping Hoa Phat to be autonomous about 80 per cent of its electricity for production, saving energy, reducing product costs, and minimizing environmental pollution.

Overcoming the difficulties of the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2021, Hoa Phat Group recorded an after-tax profit of VND34.5 trillion, an increase of 1.56 times compared to the previous year. In the first 6 months of 2022, Hoa Phat recorded VND82.1 trillion in revenue and VND12.2 trillion in after-tax profit.

Hoa Phat has not only held the No.1 market share in Vietnam in the fields of construction steel, steel pipes, Top 5 steel sheet enterprises but also the leading market share in supplying Australian beef in Vietnam as well as in the North in clean eggs output.

For many consecutive years, Hoa Phat brand has been selected as National Brand, Top Strongest Brand in Vietnam; Vietnam Gold Star, Top 50 most effective business companies in Vietnam; Top 30 largest corporate income tax payers in Vietnam, 20 business brands valued at over $100 million by Forbes Vietnam magazine, Top 10 famous Vietnamese brands etc.
