Hoa Phat Group’s 10 member companies honored in the Top 1,000 largest CIT tax payers

The General Department of Taxation under the Ministry of Finance announced the list of the Top 1,000 largest corporate income tax payers in 2021 so-called V.1000. Hoa Phat Group has up to 10 member companies honored in this list.

Specifically, Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Joint Stock Company ranked 23rd in the top 30 largest CIT payers, Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Company ranked 121st. In addition, there are also other Hoa Phat Group’s member companies listed in the V.1000 ranking including: Hoa Phat Hung Yen Steel Company, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Company, Hoa Phat Binh Duong Steel Pipe Company, Hoa Phat Da Nang Steel Pipe Company, Hoa Phat Energy Company, Hoa Phat Cold Rolled Steel Company, Hoa Phat Hung Yen Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Company, An Thong Mineral Investment Company, Hoa Phat Shipping Company.

Hoa Phat Group's corporate income tax amount in 2020 was VND1.7 trillion, an increase of 11 per cent compared to 2019. In 2021, the amount was VND2.7 trillion, posting 60 per cent year-on-year increase. In the first 6 months of 2022, Hoa Phat Group ensured production and business activities as well as stable jobs for about 30,000 employees. It corporate income tax contribution to the State budget reached VND853 billion. Also in the first 6 months of this year, Hoa Phat Group paid nearly VND7.4 trillion to the State budget, up 42 per cent compared to the same period in 2021, far exceeding the whole 2020’s payment.

Earlier, at the ceremony to honor Typical Taxpayers in the process of 30 years of accompanying and developing with the country’s tax industry (1990-2020), Hoa Phat Group was honored to be one of the 30 typical enterprises approved by the Ministry of Finance to award certificates of merit, medals. It was among the 10 non-State-owned units with outstanding achievements in tax industry.

According to the General Department of Taxation, the criteria for determining enterprises selected for inclusion in the V1000 ranking list include: enterprises established under Vietnamese law, foreign enterprises, and other organizations engaged in production and business activities which have incomes subject to corporate income tax under the provisions of the Law on Corporate Income Tax. Enterprises with branches and affiliated units (which are granted a 13-digit tax identification number) shall include the paid corporate income tax amount of the head office and branches and affiliated units.

Hoa Phat has a system of factories stretching across the country. So the group has contributed to the State budget in 27 provinces and cities such as: Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Quang Ngai, Ha Giang, Hanoi, and Phu Tho, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Quang Binh, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Long An etc.
