Hoa Phat donates VND6 billion for Da Nang City, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces in COVID-19 fight

Hoa Phat Group on August 7th 2020 gave VND6 billion to Da Nang City and VND2 billion to Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces each in a fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

Hoa Phat Group believes that with the drastic determination of the Government, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, local authorities and the whole community, the pandemic would be under control, creating favorable conditions for Vietnam to promote socio-economic development.

In the first outbreak of COVID-19 in early 2020, Hoa Phat Group also donated VND2 billion to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases and VND3 billion to the Fund for the prevention of COVID-19 pandemic of the Ministry of Health. In addition, the group's member companies have supported many items such as masks, antiseptic solutions etc for localities such as Quang Ngai, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Phu Tho and Bac Giang. Most recently, Hoa Phat Livestock Development Joint Stock Company gave Thai Thuy District in Thai Binh Province with 2,000 bottles of disinfectant solution and 500 kilos of Cloramin B disinfectant with a total value of about VND160 million.

Hoa Phat Group has always complied and fully implemented preventive measures according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health. For example, it is compulsory to wear mask, measure body temperature, regularly disinfect hands, wash hands, spray disinfecting at work areas, ensure distance, install shift meals and reduce unnecessary meetings.

In addition, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Integrated Complex has also proactively reviewed the permanent resident staffs in localities where COVID-19 victims are present, preparing a plan to organise activities at the public campus for employees if needed to avoid infection in the community.

Foreign experts coming and working at the group's factories and projects must be quarantined for 14 days and having tests to ensure that they do not affect to health of Hoa Phat’s employees and surrounding community.
