Hoa Phat construction steel sale output slightly increased in August compared to the same period

In August 2019, Hoa Phat construction steel output reached 193,000 tons, increased 7,6% in the same period last year. As a result, the market share of Hoa Phat steel continues maintaining the leading position at over 25%.

In this output, Central and Southern markets contribute 68,800 tons. Exported volume reached nearly 18,000 tons in August 2019, increased nearly two times compared to August 2018 that achieved a turnover of 9.4 million USD. 

In the first 8 months cumulative, Hoa Phat Construction Steel manufactured 1.77 million tons to the market, increased more than 20% in the same period. In particular, export output reached 165,000 tons, increased 38%. In the domestic market, sales volume has been climbed sharply in the Southern region in recent months. In the past 8 months, this market has sold 252,883 tons, increased 2.15 times compared to the first 8 months of 2018.

According to Vietnam Steel Association statistics, construction steel volume in the lunar July usually tends to decrease. Additionally, bad weather condition, floods and storms also postpone construction progress. However, the growth of Hoa Phat steel is still stably maintained compared to the same period.

Hoa Phat Construction Steel is manufactured in Hai Duong, Hung Yen and Dung Quat, mainly following the closed and modern blast furnace technology made from iron ore and finished steel.The capacity of Hoa Phat’s steel-rolling process can reach nearly 3 million tons per year. It is expected that Hoa Phat construction steel output will achieve 4 million tons per year since the end of 2019 and early 2020.
