Hoa Phat construction steel output increased by 12,5% compared to the same period

After 10 months, Hoa Phat produced and supplied to the market more than 2.18 million tons of construction steel, increased 12,5% ​​compared to the same period last year, continuing to maintain the No. 1 market share in Vietnam.

Sales volume of the Southern region increased the most, reaching 328.100 tons, increased 91% over the same period last year, especially coil steel materials for wire drawing increased 4 times higher than the same period. The Central region reached 329.800 tons, an increase of nearly 50% compared to the production in the first 10 months of 2018.

Not only leading the domestic market, Hoa Phat steel has been well received in the international market. Since the beginning of the year, total steel exports reached 205.800 tons, increased 10% compared to the same period, accounting for 9,3% of total sales volume.

Along with self-sourcing construction steel billet, wire drawn steel, pre-stressed concrete steel, Hoa Phat also supplies billet to domestic rolling mills. In just the last 2 months, the Group has supplied over 60.000 tons of billets to other steel construction enterprises.

According to Mr. Do Minh Quy - Director of Hoa Phat Construction Steel Branch in Ho Chi Minh City HCM, sales increased steadily both in civil areas and projects. Especially, since Hoa Phat's factories in Dung Quat supplied products to the market, it has created a more abundant and stable supply.

Previously, goods from Hoa Phat Hai Duong Iron and Steel Complex came to the South in more than 7 days, but from Hoa Phat Dung Quat Port to Dong Nai took only about 3 days, faster, more convenient to delivery for guests in time. In order to promote the domination of the Southern market, each branch has to prepare more systems of warehouses and wharves, strengthen and develop the distribution system, ready for the plan of the South of Hoa Phat Steel next time.

With the production scale of over 4 million tons of construction steel / year from 2020, the Group's goal next year in the Central and Southern regions is to increase production by 2,5 times compared to 2019, contributing to an increase in brand coverage and market share in these regions.
