Hoa Phat and meaningful social and charitable activities in 2019

Along with production and business activities, in the past 28 years, Hoa Phat has always carried out its corporate social responsibility substantially and from the heart with the motto "Harmony for joint development". This is reflected in the increasing contribution to the annual state budget, stable employment for thousands of workers, good implementation of social security and a series of charitable and general programs, give a hand for the community. In 2019, the total amount of Hoa Phat's funding for social and charitable activities reached nearly VND 19 billion.

Loving heartbeats
"Loving heartbeat" is an activity that sponsors free heart surgery for poor children by Hoa Phat Group since 2015. Up to now, after 4 years of operation, the program has become a private address for poor patients to rely on with congenital heart disease who need help.

In 2019, Hoa Phat has successfully performed 39 cases, confirmed waiting for surgery for 13 cases, performed mainly at Hospital E, Hanoi Heart Hospital and National Hospital of Pediatrics at a cost of over 1,7 billion.

Hoa Phat with children go to school
"Hoa Phat with children go to school" has the practical meaning of Hoa Phat Group, to modernize the educational infrastructure, improve the quality of teaching and learning in localities across the country.

In 2019, Hoa Phat Group deployed the activities of donating bunk beds to boarding schools for ethnic minorities in Chien Pho and Ho Thau, Hoang Su Phi district, Ha Giang through Hope fund (VnExpress), helping young people always feel comfortable having fun in studying and living.

Hoa Phat accompanies the students
This is a scholarship activity for students with excellent academic results and disadvantaged students studying at the National Economics University.

In 2019, the total sponsorship value for this activity is over VND 800 million. Specifically, the Group awarded 01 batch of scholarships to students of the National Economics University and paid 03 months of the 2nd batch of scholarships with a total of 169 students who received scholarships and scholarships in each semester for each student is 5.5 million. At the same time, Hoa Phat also sponsors 13 student-winning scientific research projects at the Student Science Research Conference 2019.

 

Charity meals - A fragrant heart
The program is also known as the "K Hospital Feast" by patients treated at Central Cancer Hospital (Institute K), II Tam Hiep Campus dedicated to meaningful activities that Hoa Phat have been implemented since 2010 and will continue in the future.

Accordingly, at noon during the week from Monday - Saturday, Hoa Phat will distribute free lunch to patients treated at Central Cancer Hospital (Tam Hiep Campus - Thanh Tri). In 2019, the number of daily meals is 100 hot meals, full of nutrients, regularly delivered to poor patients being treated at the hospital.

Although it is not a large number, it contains the heart of Hoa Phat Group's employees with the desire to share the pain that patients suffer, reduce the economic burden for patients in need.

Spring of Love
This is an annual activity carried out by Hoa Phat Group before the Lunar New Year, in order to bring a warm, fuller Tet to families in difficult circumstances.

The program " Spring of Love " has given Tet gifts to disadvantaged households and policies in the province where Hoa Phat factories and ranches are located nationwide. In 2019, Hoa Phat Group offers nearly 2.500 gifts worth VND 500,000 per gift in 14 provinces and cities nationwide with a total value of over VND 1,2 billion.

"Spring of Love" has become the traditional event of Hoa Phat Group. Every Lunar New Year comes, Hoa Phat's companies organize charity programs and give gifts to poor people in 3 regions across the country. This activity attracted numerous employees to participate in the spirit of "good leaves protect the torn leaves", sharing with the difficult circumstances to bring a warm and meaningful New Year to the people.

Bridge Constructions
Started in 2019, this activity aims to support localities in the West and the Mekong Delta provinces to build bridges through canals, contribute to improving the quality of life of people and promote local economic development.

In 2019, Hoa Phat Group developed and constructed the first bridge in Xi Nghiep, Tam Giang Tay commune, Ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau. In 2020, Hoa Phat continues to build bridges in the deepest and most difficult areas of the Mekong Delta region, helping people with new bridges to build trade, convenient transportation and roads to school.
Along with the main programs conducted annually, in 2019 there are many other sponsorship and charity activities that Hoa Phat contributes to the community.

These include financing of construction and repair of roads in Kinh Mon and Hai Duong with a budget of VND 1 billion; Financial support for road rehabilitation around Hoa Phat Dung Quat Complex (VND 1.27 billion); Supporting the "Kindness to Sa Can" plastic waste project, supporting fish cage farmers in Binh Son district, Quang Ngai.

Hoa Phat also spent VND 4 billion to renovate the graves of martyrs in Hai Duong and Hung Yen provinces in Truong Son cemetery. Especially, at the end of December 2019, Hoa Phat Group supported VND 5 billion for the Program "Joining hands to build houses for people with merits and poor households in Hung Yen province in 2019-2020" by the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organized ...
