Hoa Phat Agriculture posts profit of VND 648 billion after 6 months, fulfilling 64% of the annual plan

In the first 6 months of 2026, Hoa Phat Agriculture (HPA) recorded consolidated revenue of VND 3,379 billion and profit after tax of VND 648 billion, fulfilling 47% of the annual revenue plan and 64% of the annual profit plan, respectively. Of which, pig farming was the main driver, contributing the largest share to the company's revenue and profit.

In Q2/2026 alone, HPA's consolidated revenue reached VND 1,566 billion, with profit after tax of VND 303 billion. Revenue in the quarter decreased year-on-year, mainly due to lower consumption volume of the cattle and pig farming segments compared to the same period last year, as the company proactively adjusted the size of its cattle herd amid supply difficulties and retained part of its breeding pigs to expand the herd. Despite the decline in revenue, the core business segments maintained positive performance, helping the company's overall gross profit margin reach 27% in Q2 and 26% over 6 months. Net profit margin remained stable at 19% in both Q2 and the first-half cumulative period.

In 2026, Hoa Phat Agriculture set a plan for revenue of VND 7,200 billion and profit after tax of VND 1,005 billion, with a focus on expanding pig farming and increasing animal feed output. Amid rising raw material prices and loan interest rates remaining high, the company is concentrating on stabilizing production and cutting costs to enhance competitiveness.

In Q2/2026, the pig farming segment achieved revenue of VND 664 billion and profit after tax of VND 218 billion, contributing 42% of consolidated revenue and 72% of consolidated profit. The volume of commercial market pigs in the quarter reached nearly 76,000 head, up 17% compared to Q1, while the number of gilts more than doubled. The company also proactively retained part of its breeding pigs to raise at the Minh Duc farm after this farm completed barn repairs. For the first half of the year, HPA sold more than 212,000 pigs of all types, including more than 140,000 commercial market pigs.

Sales volume to the market in the quarter reached over 46,000 tons, with the 6-month cumulative volume reaching nearly 92,000 tons, up 9% compared to the same period in 2025 and accounting for 52% of total consumption volume. Hoa Phat animal feed is currently distributed through more than 600 agents nationwide. All products are free of antibiotics for disease prevention or growth-stimulating substances, meeting the new regulations effective from January 1, 2026.

In the cattle segment, the company flexibly expanded its supply sources to maintain business operations, with sales volume in Q2 reaching more than 2,600 head, and 6-month cumulative volume reaching more than 10,000 head. The layer farming segment achieved revenue of VND 170 billion in Q2, up 9.6% year-on-year. Egg output in the quarter reached 86 million eggs, bringing the 6-month cumulative total to 171 million eggs, up nearly 2% year-on-year. On average, nearly 1 million eggs are brought to the market each day through traditional channels, supermarkets, food factories, hotels, schools, and exports to Laos and Cambodia.

Hoa Phat Dong Nai animal feed plant installs rooftop solar power system, self-sufficient for up to 40% of electricity needs

In Q2/2026, HPA put into operation a rooftop solar power system at its animal feed plant in Dong Nai, with a capacity of 1,250 kWp. The system supplies about 2.3 million kWh of electricity per year, meeting up to 40% of the plant's production electricity demand.
