Hoa Phat’s brand value double after five years

On December 17, 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City, Forbes Vietnam honored the 50 leading brands in Vietnam. Hoa Phat Group was continued to be honored with the 14th in the list, up four places compared to 2019. The brand value of Hoa Phat was increased from US$128.9 million in 2019 to $134.4 million in 2020. Notably, the brand value of Hoa Phat has been doubled in comparison with the first time of the ranking’s announcement by Forbes Vietnam in 2016.

In terms of business field, Hoa Phat takes the lead in the building materials industry, outstripping the second ranked enterprise in this field with value of 6.7 times higher.

In 2016, for the first time, Forbes Vietnam published the list with the 40 most valuable brands in Vietnam. Since 2019, the list was expanded with the top 50 leading brands. This is the 5th consecutive time Hoa Phat brand has been honored in this ranking.

Hoa Phat brand has maintained its leading position in the building materials sector throughout the ranking for years. Especially, its ranking among the top 50 brands has been continuously improved with higher value over the years. Hoa Phat has not only held the No. 1 market share in Vietnam in the fields of construction steel and steel pipes, but also the leader in the supply of Australian beef in Vietnam as well as the chicken egg supply in the North.

In the first 9 months of 2020, Hoa Phat Group recorded positive business results with revenue of VND65 trillion and after-tax profit of up to VND8.84 trillion, up 40 per cent and 56 per cent respectively over the same period last year. Its after-tax profit in the 9-month period reached 98 per cent of the whole year’s plan. This has also been the first time that both revenue and after-tax profit in 9 months of 2020 exceeding the performance level in 2019, the highest ever.

Hoa Phat Group’s brand name has been selected as National Brand, Top Strongest Brand in Vietnam; Vietnam Gold Star, Top 50 most effective companies in Vietnam; Top 20 largest taxpayers in Vietnam etc for many consecutive years. According to Forbes Vietnam, the total value of 50 leading brands in the list for the fifth time reached more than $12.6 billion, representing 22 per cent year-on-year increase.
