Hoa Phat Group donates VND20 billion to support Quang Ngai Province in COVID-19 prevention

On June 2, 2021, on behalf of Hoa Phat Group, Mr. Mai Van Ha, Director of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company makes a donation of VND20 billion to support the COVID-19 prevention in Quang Ngai Province. Hoa Phat Group has donated a total of VND107 billion to support ministries, sectors and localities to prevent and control the pandemic.

Hoa Phat Group donates VND20 billion to Quang Ngai Province in COVID-19 prevention

At the launching ceremony and receiving support for the COVID-19 prevention, about 30 agencies, units and businesses in the province donated a total of more than VND30 billion. Alone Hoa Phat Group donated VND20 billion. Leaders of the People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai Province highly appreciated the support of Hoa Phat Group for the pandemic prevention and the province's COVID-19 vaccine fund.

Mrs Bui Thi Quynh Van, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said the pandemic has been under good control in Quang Ngai Province. There have no recorded case of infection in the community in more than 14 days in the province. However, the life would return normal and promoting economic development only when there is a vaccine for about 70 per cent of people, achieving herd immunity. In 2020, Hoa Phat also donated over VND2 billion of testing equipment, medical supplies, antiseptic water, masks, etc to Quang Ngai Province for the pandemic prevention.

In addition to thoroughly applying pandemic prevention measures to maintain continuous production and business, Hoa Phat Group has actively supported the pandemic prevention works of the Ministry of Health, the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, K Hospital, Fatherland Front Committee in Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Bac Giang in cash, food and medical equipment etc. In May 2021, the group donated VND50 billion to the Government's COVID-19 vaccine fund received by the Ministry of Health, and VND10 billion to the COVID-19 vaccine fund of Hai Duong Province.
