Hoa Phat has supported 85 orphans in Quang Ngai Province within 5 years

On 16/11/2022, Hoa Phat cooperated with the Women’s Union of Binh Son District to deliver support for 85 orphans in need at Binh Dong, Binh Thuan, Binh Tri, Binh Duong, and Binh Phuoc communes. This is an activity in the series program “Chang duong noi yeu thuong” that Hoa Phat Group implements to provide practical support to disadvantaged people, especially children.

Previously, Hoa Phat Group has also sponsored 40 orphans with difficult circumstances in Hai Duong Province within 5 years.

According to the statistics, more than 1,500 orphans live under difficult circumstances in Quang Ngai Province. Among them, 280 children were supported by the Women's Union. The rest will be mobilized by the WU to find sponsors and donors, with the aim that all orphans in need will be cared for and that "no child will be left behind".

Through the Women's Union of Quang Ngai province, Hoa Phat Group has supported 85 children in 5 communes of Binh Son district at the rate of 500,000 VND/month/per child. With a 5-year commitment, Hoa Phat wishes to accompany and contribute to becoming the fulcrum of the children in their future journey.

 

Mrs. Mai Hong Nhung – Vice Manager of the External Affairs Department of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel JSC representing Hoa Phat Group and the WU of Binh Son District delivers support to Nguyen Duc Tai (born in 2008) in Tuyet Diem 2 village, Binh Thuan commune.

Participating in the gift-giving activity, Mrs. Le Thi Thanh Nhan – President of the Women’s Union in Binh Son district shared that: “Orphans who live under difficult circumstances are extremely disadvantaged. We would like to express our gratitude toward the support of the Hoa Phat Group these 

recent years for the Binh Son district in general and the orphans in particular. Hopefully, Hoa Phat Group’s sponsorship will motivate the children to overcome their tough times as well as encourage them to strive to be better.”

Huynh Thao Ly (born in 2018) and her mother, Mrs. Hong Phuong received the gift from Hoa Phat Group. Thao Ly’s family is ranked No.39 in 2022 of The Poor Household Monitoring Report of Binh Dong Commune. Sharing with us, Thao Ly has a brother named Huynh Minh Khang (born in 2010) and they lost their father over a year ago. Both of them have been receiving Hoa Phat Group’s sponsorship.

Since Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Integrated Complex was built in Dung Quat Economic Zone, in Binh Dong Commune, Binh Son district, Hoa Phat has spent over VND55 billion to implement Corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs locally. Prominent is the implementation of constructing and repairing schools, medical centers, and roads as well as delivering Tet gifts to the poor, supporting Ca Ninh Lake cages, building dams in Thai Can, Cap Da, Binh Phuong, etc.

With the philosophy of “Harmony for Joint Development” toward the goals of sustainable development, over the years, Hoa Phat has carried out practical activities for the community, focusing on 4 main sectors: Economy, education, transportation, and community.

Supporting orphans in difficult circumstances is an activity in the series of programs "Chang duong noi yeu thuong" built by Hoa Phat Group, to provide practical support to disadvantaged people, focusing mainly on children.

In the upcoming time, Hoa Phat will continue to support and sponsor orphans in other localities across the country. The Group expects to support a total number of 1,000 children.
