Launching the first batch of coke oven Phase 2

After two months of drying oven, on August 21, the phase 2’s coke oven system of Hoa Phat Energy Joint Stock Company has released the first batch, officially put into operation both two phases to supply of raw materials for Hoa Phat Steel integrated complex stablely.

According to Mr.Vu Dinh Da – Vice director of Hoa Phat coking and thermal plant, coke product had good quality, the indicators were satisfactory for the metallurgical industry in the country as well as export. This is the result of the collective efforts of the entire company staff, aiming at greeting the 6-year anniversary of Hoa Phat Energy JSC (31/8/2007 - 31/08/2013).

The first coke batch of phase 2 officially launched

The phase 2 of the plant went into operation earlier than scheduled plan and this is of great significance for the Hoa Phat Energy JSC, because it contributes to the total production of the entire plant to 700,000 tonnes coke per year and generating capacity of 37MW, sufficient to meet the input coke material for blast furnace and about 40% of the total electricity consumption of the entire steel integrated complex.
