Inauguration of Hoa Phat iron ore palletizing factory

On Oct 15th 2013, An Thong Mining Investment JSC and Ha Giang Industrial Zones Management Board have organized Inauguration ceremony of Hoa Phat iron ore pelletizing factory in Binh Vang Industrial Zone, Dao Duc commune, Vi Xuyen district.

This important event has presence of Mr. Trieu Tai Vinh, a member of Central Party, Provincial Secretary; Vuong Mi Vang, Deputy Provincial Secretary, Provincial People Council Chairman; Dam Van Bong, Deputy Secretary, Chairman of Ha Giang People committee. On the side of Hoa Phat Group included Mr. Tran Dinh Long - Chairman, Mr. Tran Tuan Duong - General Director, members of the Board of Management, board of director of subsidiaries, Ha Giang agencies, departments and all employees of An Thong Mining Investment JSC.

On behalf of Hoa Phat Group, Mr.Pham Quoc Vinh - Director of An Thong Mining Investment JSC summarized the investment process, evaluated the advantages and difficulties in implementating the project that considered as a key point of Ha Giang province, and the largest capacity plant of iron ore pellet production in Vietnam now using rotary kiln, coal-burning fuel.

Mr Vinh said: "In August 2012, the company started to construct Hoa Phat iron ore pelletizing factory in Binh Vang Industrial Zone. Although of much difficulties, but with the close attention of the provincial Party Committee, People's Committee and leaders of Hoa Phat Group, and efforts of staffs, the plant was completed and put into operation after a year of construction, ensuring to supply pelletized iron ore stable for phase II of Hoa Phat steel integrated complex in Kinh Mon - Hai Duong".

Ha Giang Provincial leaders visited the control center of iron ore pelletizing plant

The plant has a total investment of VND300 billion with capacity of 300,000 tonnes/year. This is the solid pelletizing factory in Ha Giang province using advanced technology of China and around the world. The plant makes the jobs for over 200 employees, in which has 65% of local workers with an average salary of 4 million per month. Each year, the plant contributed to the growth of industrial production in the province from VND700 to 800 billion and 20 billion to state budget. This project is a step specific to the major policy of industrial development in Ha Giang.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Dam Van Bong behalf of provincial leaders recognized, praised the company An Thong and departments which took efforts to complete two major projects in Binh Vang Industrial Zone. Officially launching the iron ore pelletizing factory is an important event, contributing to concretize government's policy in encourages the efficient exploiting and processing industry materials available in the country.

For the long-term stability of projects, Chairman of Ha Giang proposed the provincial departments and Hoa Phat to make the most favorable conditions for new plants operating efficiently. As for the iron ore pelletizing factory to meet input material resource and output market stablely to ensure it’s regular and continuous production, contributing to the economic development of the province.

On this occasion, Chairman Dam Van Bong awarded the Certificate of Merit for to some team and individuals with outstanding achievements in the construction of Hoa Phat iron ore pelletizing factory in Binh Vang Industrial Zone.
