HPG reached 84% of profit target after 6 months

In the context of the difficult macro economy, slow consumtion, price of some raw materials started to increase, the business operation of Hoa Phat also had been certain effected. However, the result of the first 6 months 2013 of Hoa Phat Group (HPG) was very positive with VND8,410 billion of revenue and 1,012 billion of profit after tax, respectively 45% and 84% of the year plan.

Hoa Phat steel has reached 322,600 tons of consumption output in the past 6 months, an increase of 4.75% over the same period in 2012 and now accounts for 14.2% of the steel market share nationwide.

Expected to early September this year, all of the phase 2’s items - Hoa Phat Integrated Steel complex in Hai Duong will be completed and run hot trial, officially operating both two phases the steel integrated complex synchronously, bringing the total capacity of Hoa Phat steel to nearly 1.2 million tons per year.
