HPG ranked in the top 50 of the best listed companies

Forbes Vietnam Magazine recently released its list of 50 best listed companies in Vietnam stock market. Hoa Phat Group JSC (HPG) was also named in the list of this global prestige magazine.

This is the first ranking that Forbes Magazine conducted in Vietnam. In particular, HPG is the only firm in the steel sector ranked this time.

According to Forbes Vietnam, the list was based on the ranking method of the original magazine, taking into account the characteristics of listed companies in Vietnam. The data that used to evaluate based on the financial statements audited during three consecutive years 2010 - 2012, the most recent financial year ended as at 31/12/2012.

Total revenue in 2012 of the 50 best companies reached VND413,000 billion, accounting for 43% of the total revenue of all listed companies in two stock exchanges HOSE and HNX. Although the domestic economy faced many difficulties, HPG not only got its producing stability but also increased the steel market share from 13.3% in 2011 to 13.7% in 2012.
