Hoa Phat Energy invests to phase III of its thermal power plant

Recently, Hoa Phat Energy JSC has signed a equipment contract with Trung Khoa International Trade Co., Ltd, to deploy phase III of the residual thermal power generation plant at the Hoa Phat Steel integrated complex - Kinh Mon - Hai Duong with the most advanced technology available today.

Phase III of the residual thermal power Plant has designed capacity of 15MW, including major items such as turbines, generator, boiler system desulfurization dust filter, automatic control system ... It is expected that these equipment will be delivered by 9/2015 and put into operation from 04/2016.

"Total investment to the thermal power plant - Phase III around VND 300 billion. Basically the plant will operate independently and is connected to the phase I, II through busbar system 6.3KV in the 110KV substation of the complex, "said Mr. Hoang Duc Thuan, Director of Hoa Phat Energy Company.

Hoa Phat thermal power and coking coal factory is always green - clean

 
The phase III is located in Hoa Phat thermal power and coking coal factory. The plant’s mechanism of electricity production is utilizing the residual heat of the flue gas generated during process of coking coal to produce superheated steam and commissioning turbine generator. Exhausts fumes are being put through a system of dust filter desulfurization to ensure TCVN requirements before discharging out the environment.

Currently, Hoa Phat thermal power and coking coal factory reaches 700,000 tons of coking coal per year and power generation designed capacity is 37MW. Expectedly, the phase III will be completed by 4/2016, bringing the total generating designed capacity of the whole plant to 52MW, contributing to increase the power output for Hoa Phat steel integrated  complex at 30% of total power consumption (of all 3 stages).
