Hai Duong province's leaders to visit and work at Hoa Phat steel integrated Complex

On 26th March, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, People’s Committee Chairman of Hai Duong province and other leaders have visited and worked at the Hoa Phat Steel integrated Complex. Mr. Tran Tuan Duong, General Director of Hoa Phat Group welcomed and reported on the activities of the company, and made recommendations to the provincial leaders to create more favorable conditions for the Group.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien has appreciated the implementation of projects of Hoa Phat Steel integrated Complex in Kinh Mon district, Hai Duong. This complex was licensed in 2007, divided into three phases over an area of over 80 ha in Hiep Son commune (Kinh Mon). By 10/2013, Phase 1 and 2 had completed and stable production. Production of steel billets and finished steel reached 900,000 tons in 2014, sales reached more than VND 9,900 billion, profit after tax of VND1,295 billion, contributing  more than 270 billion to state budget and created jobs for 3268 employees with average income of over 6.3 million / person / month.

In late 2014, the company has started to implement phase 3 with the capacity of 750,000 tons/year. Expectedly, by the first quarter of 2016, this phase will be putting into operation, raising the capacity of the complex to 1.6 million tons of billet / year, creating jobs for nearly 1,500 workers.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien affirmed that Hai Duong province always supports and facilitates HPG continuing the project in the future, also approved the adjustments proposal of master plan for the Group’s complex in the second quarter of 2015 to streamline production line, minimizing environmental pollution, energy savings. Besides, he also directed the concerned departments and local officers to coordinate with Hoa Phat Group to advocate and mobilize people to support the clearance aiming at expanding parking and storage area, serving the deployment of phase 3 as well as worker dormitories.

On behalf of Hoa Phat Group, Mr. Tran Tuan Duong thanked to the attention and facilitation of the provincial leaders during the past time. Mr. Duong confirmed that HPG will always be in harmony to ensure the benefits of workers as well as environmental issues and social welfare.

In the recent years, Hoa Phat Group has carried out many activities for the community such as the "Tet for the poor people" which is the annual program for disadvantaged households, visiting and encourage of policy families, moon cakes for poor pupils. In particular, the Group has spent billions to invest in the construction of welfare facilities such as Hiep Son Kindergartens (2013), the lounge of Kinh Mon General Hospital.
