On August 20, 2022, the 30th anniversary of Hoa Phat Group's establishment was solemnly held at Ariyana International Convention Palace - Furama Resort Danang. With the purpose of showing gratitude to generations of Hoa Phat Group’s employees, agents, distributors and partners, the event was prepared and meticulously organized, bringing many different emotions and surprise to attendees. The Group’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Tran Dinh Long sent a message - Hoa Phat will not stop and will continue to move forward.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Hoa Phat Group's establishment, many meaningful and widespread activities were held among all employees. Online running tournaments "30 ngày tôi khỏe", offline running tournaments "Endless Run", content creation contests "30 năm tôi kể", football tournaments, etc. A particular benefit of the "30 ngày tôi khỏe" race is that it encourages employees to form healthy habits as well as strengthening ties between subsidiaries of the Hoa Phat Group. In 2022, Hoa Phat construction steel sales volume increased slightly compared to 2021 with 4.2 million tons. In which, exports contributed nearly 1.2 million tons. The domestic market share continued to be consolidated in the leading position with about 35%. The export market has expanded across five continents. In addition to diversifying its consumption market, Hoa Phat is also able to make foreign currency collections and balance the Vietnamese trade balance by utilizing new export markets.
In addition to the traditional steel product lines, Hoa Phat Group promotes research and development of high quality steel lines, especially difficult technical steel lines such as steel grades for bead wire manufacturing, screws, and steel coiled stripe…. This proves that Hoa Phat's engineering team have mastered modern technology lines, increasingly producing many high-quality product lines, meeting the diverse needs of the market.
Technologists of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel have researched, built the process and successfully produced wire rods for bead wire, grades of SWRH82A, SWRH72A. Immediately after launching this new products, the Company received orders of over 3000 tons/month from partners. After that, Hoa Phat manufactured rebar rolled steel (DBIC - Debar in Coil), which met the British standard BS4449. As a type of construction steel, this type of steel can be used in concrete reinforcement for super works. It is made in rolls so that it can be easily transported.
On November 15, 2022, Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company (Vietnam Report) partnered with VietnamNet Online Newspaper to announce the VNR500 Ranking - Top 500 Largest Enterprises in Vietnam in 2022. Hoa Phat Group ranked 1st in the Top 10 largest private enterprises in Vietnam for the first time, and 5th in the Top 10 largest enterprises in Vietnam in 2022.

Hoa Phat is the first Vietnamese enterprise to produce HRC, affirming its position as the number one steel producer in Southeast Asia. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Hoa Phat Group (August 20, 1992 - August 20, 2022), the 5 millionth tons of hot rolled coil was officially launched at QSP Factory, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Integrated Complex. By the end of 2022, cumulative HRC output will reach nearly 6 million tons.
The complex of continuous smelting and casting lines of QSP Factory consists of 5 workshops with an output of 3.5 million tons/year. Products are HRC, low carbon steel grade, low carbon high strength low alloy steel, medium carbon, medium carbon high strength low alloy steel.
In addition to increasing production output, HRC is maintaining quality with SS400 steel grades in accordance with JIS G3101-2017 (Japan) and SAE: J403-14 (USA) standards. Products are used as raw materials for the production of steel pipes, galvanized steel sheets and other special products such as container shells, etc. Besides satisfying domestic partners and customers, Hoa Phat's HRC has expanded the markets by exporting to the USA, Mexico, EU, Malaysia….
From 2022, Hoa Phat develops the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Integrated Complex 2 project with a capacity of 5.6 million tons of HRC/year, bringing the total annual HRC capacity to 8.6 million tons and production capacity. The Group's crude steel is expected to be more than 14 million tons from 2025.
Despite many disadvantages of the general market, the downstream steel products of the Group have achieved remarkable results.
For the whole year, Hoa Phat Steel Pipe's output is expected to exceed 750,000 tons, up about 12% compared to 2021. Hoa Phat Steel Pipe's market share increased from 24.7% (according to the steel association's statistics until the end of 2021) to 29% (by the end of November 2022), affirming the number 1 position in Vietnam.
Featuring a wide range of quality products that meet international standards and the ability to supply goods quickly, Hoa Phat steel pipes have been provided to a series of large projects throughout the country, for instance: Long Thanh International Airport project.
Hoa Phat steel sheet products in the domestic market increased by about 16% compared to last year. Hoa Phat's market share is firmly in the Top 5 largest manufacturers. In Vietnam, Ton Hoa Phat is the only corrugated iron manufacturer that is self-sufficient in hot rolled coil (HRC) from Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Integrated Complex. By leveraging this advantage, Ton Hoa Phat can offer competitive prices while maintaining stable product quality.
With prestressed steel products, exports of PC Strand increased by 90% compared to last year. At the same time in 2022, the Company has introduced to the market a new product line named PC Wire.
From 2021 up to now, Hoa Phat Group has invested heavily in the field of home appliances. Specifically, Hoa Phat Home Appliance Corporation invested in forming 3 large production centers in Hung Yen, Ha Nam and Ba Ria-Vung Tau, aiming to manufacture 1 million refrigeration and household products every year.

On September 26, 2022, the Hoa Phat Home Appliances Factory in Ha Nam was officially put into operation. This factory produces household products with an investment of more than VND1,000 billion. With multi-channel expansion and product development, marketing, human resources and warranty strategies, Hoa Phat Household Appliances Corporation will gradually realize the strategy of becoming a "Midea of Vietnam" and achieve $1 billion in revenue by 2030.
As the Group enters the 7th year of its work in agriculture, it faces a lot of challenges due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic as well as economic and political instability at home and abroad in the wake of the events of the last year. However, the farms raising Australian cows, poultry eggs, bio-safe pigs and animal feed factories still ensure output and meet market demand.
Up to now, Hoa Phat operates 2 feed mills in Hung Yen and Dong Nai with modern production lines. This helps increase the total output of Hoa Phat animal feed to nearly 600,000 tons/year. The company invests in developing a variety of product lines suitable for livestock and poultry, as well as a wide customer network throughout the North - Central - South provinces.
In 2022, despite difficulties, the annual output of Hoa Phat Hung Yen Animal Feed Company still reached over 90% of the target plan. In the coming years, Hoa Phat will expectly invest in more factories in Phu Tho to facilitate the internal farm system. This will enable it to expand its distribution agent system.
Hoa Phat's daily output of clean chicken eggs to the market is approximately 850,000, continuing to maintain its 1 market share in the North. Particularly at the beginning of November, 2022, the output of chicken eggs supplied to the market exceeded the milestone of more than 1 million eggs per day.
Hoa Phat Agriculture's high-tech pig and beef farms continue to optimize processes and investment efficiency. In 2022, pig production reached 95% of the target level. For beef cattle, Hoa Phat still maintains its leading position in supplying live Australian beef in Vietnam.
After 21 years of operation in the real estate sector, Hoa Phat Group has made steady contributions to overall development over the years. In 2022, Hoa Phat Real Estate will focus on commercial real estate development.
Regarding industrial park (IP) real estate, Hoa Phat owns and operates 3 IPs, including: Pho Noi A Industrial Park with a scale of more than 688.94 ha (Hung Yen), Hoa Mac Industrial Park - 131 ha (Ha Nam), Yen My Industrial Park II-313II - 313.5 Hung Yen). The total land fund of industrial zones approved for planning is 1133.44 ha.
In Pho Noi A Industrial Park, the occupancy rate is about 87% with 125 enterprises renting land. Hoa Phat's industrial zone system has been successful in attracting production investment from Southeast Asian countries. Many FDI enterprises come from countries such as the US, Japan, and Taiwan.
On May 27, 2022, Hoa Phat was approved to invest in the construction and infrastructure business project of Yen My II Industrial Park Estate in the province. The project has a scale of 216 ha with a total estimated investment of more than 2,682 billion. Yen My II Industrial Park is planned to attract investment in clean production fields and industries with little impact on the environment.
Up to now, Hoa Mac Industrial Park (Ha Nam) has attracted 32 businesses with a 100% occupancy rate. From 2010 until now, many businesses, especially Korean and Japanese companies, have sought information on renting land and building factories here.
During the year, Hoa Phat Shipping Joint Stock Company signed a contract to build 02 cargo ships with a capacity of 24,500 tons with Ha Long Shipyard. This activity is part of the fleet development strategy to serve the Group's transportation needs for raw materials and finished products. It is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2023, these two cargo ships will be put into operation. This will contribute to optimizing the production and supply chain of steel products, in line with Hoa Group's fleet diversification strategy.
Furthermore, from the second half of 2021, the Hoa Phat container factory project in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has been deploying in order to provide containers for logistics activities, promote export of goods, and improve global trade. Raw materials for the production of empty container shells are HRC steel, special grade SPA-H, natural resistance, weather resistance, a product of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Integrated Complex. In Vietnam, Hoa Phat is the only enterprise which can produce this kind of steel.
Up to now, this container factory with a capacity of about 200,000 TEU has been constructed during the testing of the line.
